This classic Remington Portable Typewriter is a beautiful, classic typewriter. This slim-line Remette typewriter comes with the original case and a new typewriter ribbon installed. We have checked, cleaned and prepared this typewriter. and it is ready to write your next novel.
The Remette typewriter has classic round black glass typewriter keys with white letters and silver-tone metal collars. The front of the paper holder has the “Remington ”decal. This decal is a little damaged with use – visible in photos. This lovely typewriter has the raised hammers when typing making this a unique machine to type with.
Produced in the midst of the depression years the Remette was a minimalist version of the standard Remington portable, lacking a bell, a black ribbon, a left-hand platen knob, and a margin release key. This model rolled off the production line as World War II was beginning.
