This classic Remington Portable 2 Typewriter was produced in the USA in 1929. It is a classic collector’s item and an incredible working piece of history. The Remington Portable 2 has the “folding-typebar” mechanism which raises the typebars to a 45-degree angle, the printing position, by means of a lever on the right side of the typewriter. The typebars must be lowered again when the typewriter is returned to its case.
This typewriter has been fully serviced and has a new platen roller. The mechanics have been checked, cleaned and restored. This typewriter is in a fully working condition.
It has a new black ink and is ready to use immediately.
